As the landscapes of cities and villages change, where did the guardian deity Jangseungs go? I documented and covered the stories of the Jangseungs still holding their places in the Gyeonggi Gwangju area and the stories of the local villagers. In Jangseung Dialogue, you can hear interesting behind-the-scenes stories such as the Jangseungs managed by the village and the Jangseungje (rituals), as well as methods of making and replacing them, taboos, and the realistic concerns surrounding these totem poles.
